Finally! One of my family members listened to me & went on a Grand Canyon Youth trip- I've been trying to get the east coast folks out here on a river trip for ever! Ali, my smartest niece came out here for a 2 week trip through Grand Canyon on the Colorado River. We were lucky enough to see her for a few days before the trip (with her mom) and after (solo). Lily, Amelia & I took her to some of N. AZ's 'hot spots' including Sunset Crater & Dead Horse Ranch State Park- where she got a mini volcanics lesson & introduction the Verde River, respectively.
"Ahyi" is a BIG hit with Lily so she had a blast!!
