If you didn't know there is a glut of strawberries on the market right now- according to our source it's b/c CA & FL had to pick a bunch early- so we are already getting our crazy summer deals of pounds & pound of strawberries for $5 (even organic ones!). Lily & I went a little strawberry crazy at the market last week & decided to use up what we had left in the 1st strawberry shortcake of the season. Although the weather hasn't been very summery (windy & some snow today) & they aren't 'our' strawberries it was a treat enjoyed by all!
