A few weeks ago we treated ourselves to a little mini-vacation at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Scottsdale. Our friends got an awesome deal on rooms through priceline, so 5 families made the trek down to the valley. We had a blast!!!

Safe to say one of the MANY highlights of the trip was the hot tub that changed colors- they were still asking about it the next night.. Not even Dora, who met us in the lobby upon arrival, got that much recognition

Once Lily realized her floaties actually helped her float she was a force to be reckoned with in the pool! She was 'swimming' around the river by 'herself' & mastered the waterslide- totally on her own. It was pretty awesome!

Showered up & getting ready to go out to eat. Note: Tom fell asleep for about 30 min right after this picture was taken & Lily outlasted him by about 10 minutes when she fell asleep in his lap before the drinks got to the table at dinner. She then slept through pretty much everything else, waking up for s'mores around the campfire & then falling asleep- dead to the world- until 9 am the next morning.
This was the scene Amelia & I came home to after our run- Tom still sleeping, Lily zone out on cartoons, eating salt & vinegar chips from the bag.. It was pretty funny & a great reminder of what 8 uninterrupted hours at the pool can do to you.

Tom really missed his calling- check out this towel draping.. He had a name for this look, basically it allowed for the comfort of the 'burrito' with the upper body freedom to snack.
