Lily with the sign she made for me
Waiting for Mommy to come by...
Still waiting......
Still waiting...... I was running a lot slower than planned- my goal was 10-11min miles, but it was more like 12+
Ya!!!!
I was so excited to see everyone around mile 19, I'd been looking for them all day!
Tom helping me keep running..
Lily helping me stretch out my quads, which were the main reason I was running SOOOOO slooooow
All told, they ran about 1 mile with me & it was SUCH an amazing mental help!
Lily was treated to a milkshake at McDonalds
And wanted to take pictures showing Nana that she likes cherries now too
Amelia was treated to some formula..
Finding our group at the end.
At least the medal was nice & Amelia is checking to make sure it's real..
Stephanie, the exec. director of Girls on the Run of N. AZ, bonding with Amelia
Painfully walking the mile+ back to the car
Although I didn't get the time results I secretly wanted, I did finish a marathon 7 months after having a baby, so I'm proud of myself for that. I also decided that I don't need to do another marathon & will probably stick to shorter distances from here on out, although I've always wanted to run the Boston Marathon......
