When we were leaving the aquarium the previous day, Tom heard that they feed the penguins at 9am- so he & Lily were up bright & early, on the T & to the aquarium by 9- they were actually patrons 1 & 2 that day. Lily was really excited to watch the penguins being fed & to have the place basically to herself. They were also lucky enough to see the divers feeding the fish in the big tanks AND to see them take the 2 giant sea turtles out for their biannual check ups. I didn't get to see them take the turtles out, but the smaller female turtle was still getting checked out when I got there & it was super cool! Amelia & I followed a little later to get our 2nd dose of the aquarium too. I am SO lucky that Tom doesn't need as much sleep as me, getting to sleep in is SUCH a luxury!
