Phoenix Phun!

a

We went down to Phoenix this weekend for the Phillies game & decided to make a weekend of it! Since our ice rink is being rebuilt after the roof collapsing during one of our big storms this winter, we decided to take our figure-skating obsessed daughter ice skating in Scottsdale. The "coyote den" was probably the fanciest ice rink Tom or I have ever been too- which was an experience in & of itself.
We rented Lily the tiniest skates I've ever seen- and we were amazed hey had a toe-pick on them, talk about tricky for 2 year old! Once her skates were on she was off & (literally) running- no wobbly ankles AT ALL. She was so excited to get on the ice & did awesome! She really wanted one of the red walkers the other kids had, but tried it & then I told her it was a 'cheater' and she should skate on her own, at which point she said "i no want a cheater" & was back on the ice.
She even did 2 twirls- all on her own... so proud & so fun!!
