Tom & I went down to Phoenix Saturday for the AMA Supercross (indoor dirt bike racing for those not 'in the know') as an early birthday present for Tom. While we were there we decided to hit up IKEA & get Lily a big-girl bed and a few things to finish up our bathroom & help make her side of the room a little 'older' and keep the other side as a baby's room.
The plan was to put it in her room & let her gradually get used to it (while still sleeping in her crib). I've heard horror stories about the transition to the BGB (like the end of the nap!).
At 1st Lily was scared of it, but gradually warmed up & then insisted on sleeping in it. She lasted about 20 minutes the 1st night & then we heard her asking for her crib. Yesterday, she took her nap in the BGB and slept in it overnight!
It was an emotional event for Tom & I- our little baby!! But, she loves it...
