Another relaxed weekend here in Flagstaff- Tom & Lily cheered me on again in the 2nd race of the Summer Running Series- another 10k that I thankfully survived- we went to watch the Phillies get trounced by the Cubs, despite a valiant effort... Flagstaff Little League play is fierce at the end of the season and got some errands done. The most exciting part of our weekend is that veggie planting has begun!! As anyone who witnessed our silly amount of tomatoes last year knows, we take our veggie garden seriously. Tom has been out in the garden working feverishly to get all of our yummy tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, beans, eggplants, pumpkins, zucchini and hot peppers into the ground. I've been trying to help him out by weeding & taming the raspberry bush (I had no idea it would take over) and strawberry patch.
Last night Lily & I helped him plant the beans- although truth be told Lily was more into getting her hands into the dirt (good girl!!!) and eating the packet the beans came in but she was part of the experience for sure.
We were also visited by our neighbors new puppy Maddy- as you can see she is ridiculously cute and loved Lily.
