Tom sent me this link yesterday. From a personal and scientific point of view I feel climate change is a very real phenomenon and anything I see that legitimizes it makes me happy. If you have a minute check it out. http://www.eoearth.org/article/Climate_Change_%28collection%29
I have to admit I was a bit shocked to look at the biographies of the contributing scientists and see only ONE woman. On a related note, I had to give a little science lesson in my math class last week- as it was snowing outside one student said "Forget global warming- its snowing in May!". So we talked about the fact that the overall warming of the Earth leads to the melting of land ice which changes the salinity of the ocean water and disrupts global ocean current patterns & totally messes with the weather (among other things). A few students said "why aren't you teaching science?"
Anyways- totally an aside and I hope Tom doesn't think this post "too political". :)
