Well, i guess I'll try this thing out..... I was just gone on a trip for work in the Grand Canyon last month... thought i'd post some pictures so everyone can kind-of-sort-of see what i do for work.

This is a picture of jack on the snow at our house before I left.... that dog in the distance is erin's dog KNOX... i didn't know it but he actuall stole my glove while i was taking pictures of jack and burried it in the snow... It took me a half hour with a rake to find it..... ahhh dogs.

These are of Lily climbing on her first raft at Lee's Ferry (this is what one of the boats we use for work looks like...BIG). Lee's Ferry is where all of the boat trips start that go on the Colorado River down through the Grand Canyon. She loves water.

The other shot is of Lily and Beth right before i left them for 18 days.....pretty hard to do. When i got home Lily cried the first time I held her...she had no idea who the guy with the scruffy red beard was.... very sad.

Ok this is what our camp looked like. Looking at the picture I realize how easy it is to forget what a beautiful place you are working in...but at the time being in the same place for that many days sure feels like groundhog day.....

Finally this picture is me at work downloading some equipment attatched to the rock to hold in place during the flood..... usually you can stand next to this equipment, but this time i had to operate the equipment from a boat...... sort of fun and different.... anyway. i guess i like to blog.
